MEDIA RELEASE

Quayside Holdings Limited (‘Quayside’) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Wynne to the role of independent Chair effective immediately.  Mark has been our Acting Chair following the sudden passing of the previous Chair, Dr Warren Parker late last year.

Mark joins the Quayside Board with extensive primary industry experience across dairy, manufacturing, horticulture and personal care. He has held a series of global roles in leadership, operations, sales and marketing, with a strong track record in delivering sustained profitable growth.

Last year Mark concluded his nine-year tenure as CEO of Ballance Agri-Nutrients  – New Zealand’s leading fertiliser company, serving 18,000 shareholders. During this time Mark’s responsibilities included leading various workstreams around purpose and growth strategy development, manufacturing upgrades, innovation pipelines, capital project management and digital transformation.

Prior to this, Mark was the Managing Director ANZ and South Asia Regional President for USA-listed company Kimberly-Clark. In addition to being an active investor in innovation startups, including leading the strategic plan development for Ice Angels Investments, he focussed on building membership and the capital base, alongside his directorship role.

His career began in the dairy industry in what is now Fonterra, and lasted for over 20 years with 15 years living offshore, growing the retail, food service and secondary manufacturing business across Asia and the Middle East.

An experienced governor Mark has served on various Boards including the Fertiliser Association of New Zealand, Alliance Group, Manuka Health and numerous dairy industry subsidiaries and joint ventures.

A Bay of Plenty local, Mark is firmly embedded into the community, understanding the challenges our region faces, as well as our opportunities. We’re thankful to have his entrepreneurial approach and look forward to introducing Mark in his new role to the wider community in due course.
