That long-term view sits behind Quayside’s new Distribution Policy, developed jointly with Bay of Plenty Regional Council. It is the clearest and most transparent distribution framework we have ever had.

The policy is built on three principles: preserving the fund’s real value over time, providing sustainable and predictable distributions, and maintaining flexibility to navigate changing market conditions. Together, these principles are designed to balance the needs of today’s community with the interests of future generations.

Two important concepts sit at the heart of the framework. The Real Capital Floor helps ensure the value of the fund is maintained in real terms, protecting the purchasing power of the community’s assets over time. The Distribution Buffer helps smooth distributions from year to year, reducing the impact of market volatility and providing greater certainty around future payments.
